.... it has been quite lovely really ... my little mini break with Freddie ... today is actually our first day at home ... I almost feel guilty that I have enjoyed my 4 days with the kids and Brett being away ... I do miss them but I know that they will return and it will be like they have never been away ... everything will be back to normal in no time at all ...mini breaks are good for everyone, helps us appreciate each other again.
Freddie and I have been quite busy actually ...Wednesday we had jobs to do in town ...
... Day 289 for Freddie, still in his PJs at lunch time, just waking up from his morning nap ... then it was off to town for the afternoon .... noticed that his 4th tooth has finally made its way through the gum .... hopefully Freddie will have a break from new teeth for a few weeks ... ease up on the red cheeks and rank nappies.
... Thursday, Day 290, we were up bright and early and drove to Toowoomba for a shopping fix ... Freddie was such a good boy ... he spent the entire day in the car or in the pram and was happy to do so ... little bit cranky in the car for the last half an hour but I just turned up the tunes and sang louder!
Yesterday, Day 291, off to town yesterday for a hair appointment ...
... someone was a wee bit tired on the way home ...we then did all the farm jobs that the kids usually do ... fed the pig, sadly one pig escaped on Monday and another died from gutsing itself on too much grain in typical pig fashion, so now there is just Pig ...
... it was quite cold yesterday afternoon and windy ....
... after successfully feeding Pig and not letting him escape we then fed the chooks and collected the eggs .... and then fed the cats and Neddie .... and walked inside to this ....
... so proud of my fire making ability ... usually the kids bring in all the fire wood and Jack cleans out the fireplace and gets it going ... who knew that I was so clever with some wood and a match and about 3 fire starters!
So today is our last day at home before Brett, Jack and Evie get home tomorrow ... an entire day at home .... I must admit that the house is extremely quiet, just turned up my tunes to make it feel less empty .... I am going to scrapbook .... I am going to eat the last of the pumpkin soup that I have been eating all week ... I am going to put the dishwasher on for the first time all week ... I am going to watch whatever I want on TV .... I might even squeeze in an afternoon nap .... yes, I am going to enjoy the last day of my mini break.
Oh, I finished the last book in the Twilight series ... wasn't my favourite out of the 4 ... no surprises really and I thought that the ending was predictable .... on Tuesday night I finally watched the movie ... so pleased that I had read the books first ... obviously I knew what to expect with Edward and Bella thanks to all the gossip mags ... but some of the other characters were just wrong .. Jasper and Carlisle looked very scary in the movie, not how I had pictured them at all ...
... Alice was like I had imagined as was Jacob although I did think his hair looked like a really bad wig ...
... thanks goodness he looks better in the next movie ...
.... and yes, remained loyal Jacob fan to the end .... anyway, no more Twilight until New Moon is released.
Right, I am off to enjoy my last GUILT FREE day at home with just Fred and Ned ... thanks for stopping by.
