HI ....

... what's happening? The highlight of our weekend was the school Moonlight Carnival ... according to Eve, it is the 4th best day in the year ... 3 being Easter, 2 is her birthday and 1 is Christmas ... but she revised the order on Sunday, the morning after the carnival ... Easter went to 4 and the Moonlight Carnival advanced to 3 ... a good night was had by all ... our HAIR BLING stall raised close to $700 ...

 

 

pretty good for the efforts of the three of us .... we have requests to come back next year! All the classes performed a dance ... this year Evie was part of a Michael Jackson medley ... her song was The Way You Make Me Feel ...

 

and Jack's class danced to the Grease megamix ...

 

lots of laughs .... only 12 more Moonlight Carnivals to go!!!!!!  That will be a total of 17 Moonlight Carnivals that I would have attended by the time Freddie finishes Grade 7, a scary thought.

Not much else happening ... Freddie is keeping me busy ... still not walking but into everything ...

enjoying some pool time at home .... he is such a cheeky little fellow but continues to be happy and dragged along everywhere ...  Jack and Evie are counting down the days until holidays, only 3 weeks remaining of school after this week .... YIKES!  They are both busy with school, swimming, dancing, tennis and cricket (as are Freddie and I).

Almost forgot about this layout until I tidied my desk this morning ...

... I included Boxing Day and also have some blank pages at the back of my journal just in case .... included in the CHRISTMAS DOUBLE UP pack are ....

 

12 cardstock ... I used black, white and kraft as my foundation pages, if you would like more sheets of any of the above colours just let me know, cardstock is $1 per sheet ....

 

14 pattern papers ... I didn't use all of them, saved a couple for my CHRISTMAS DOUBLE UP layouts ... the papers that I did use, I cut in half and saved one half for layouts ....

 

the embellishments ... 2 lettering, I used only the blue in my journal and other lettering from my stash ... journalling tags ... chipboard buttons ... shipping tags ... Christmas stickers .... bird sticker .... glitter title ....

DECEMBER DAILY JOURNAL DAYS 1 - 13 ....

... this is soooooooooooo addictive ... I have really enjoyed creating the foundation of my DECMEBER DAILY journal ... decided to go with a Heidi Swapp memory binder ....

 

most of my pages measure aout 6x8inches .... will decorate the front when finished my binder ... OK, here goes ....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so what do you think?  I can not wait to add photos and words and I just know that my journal is going to encourage me to be more festive this December ... pretty much everything used in my journal (excluding the foundation pages) is included in the CHRISTMAS DOUBLE UP PACK ... come back tomorrow and check out the remaining pages and I have a few questions to answer too ... HELLO NOVEMBER

... November!  Sounds hideous doesn't it?!?  Only 5 weeks remaining of school and 9 weeks until Christmas .... not really ready for all the busyness yet ... I guess it isn't going to wait for me so I need to get motivated.

... on Saturday we went to our first swimming carnival for the season in Chinchilla which is about 3 hours from home ... we were all blown away at the seriousness of it all ... I guess the other carnivals we have been to were more social .... anyway, the kids had a great day, Freddie included ... no ribbons or medals but lots of fun .... it was the first time Evie raced 50m butterfly and she nearly broke my heart ... she stopped about 5 times but made it to the end ...I was so proud of her ....  the poor little thing was shattered but says she will do it again ... go Evie ... she actually got a second and 2 firsts in her heats but nothing over all ....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't begin to tell you how good Freddie was ... I took a playpen (thanks Jode) because I knew that he wouldn't want to be in a pram all day .... he was like the club mascot, there were always kids in the playpen with him ... he even had a sleep in the pram amongst all the noise ...

 

... such a good boy .... needless to say, all the kids slept on the way home.

Took Freddie for his first swim at home yesterday ......

 

 

 

 

he L O V E D it ..... all he wanted to do was splash and splash some more .... he then discovered that it was fun to sit on the top step, climb out and then climb back in ... busy boy ... much busier than last year ....

 

he is beginning to take a few steps, not enough to call it walking ....

 

but quickly decides that crawling is more his thing ....

 

crawling and pushing cars is a bit of a favourite at the moment ...

 

just look at that cute little bum and chubby little legs ....

 

and just look at this mischievous boy ... talking to me through the kitchen window ... such a little climber ....

 

and this may look like an angelic face but that apple in his fat little hands was stolen out of his sister's lunch box ... now Eve has learnt to put her lunch box in her school bag and not leave it lying around for apple thieves!

Brett finished harvesting here at Bengalla last night .... I am gathering Christmas goodies and I have just about finished a layout with these funky little monsters ....

the papers on this layout are a combination of the new Nook & Pantry line from Basic Grey and some funky Crate papers ...

lettering is also from Basic Grey .... I am sure most of you could create a CLICK CLICK layout ... next layout puts to use photos of Evie from Book Week dress up day ...

 

 

loving the strawberry and cupcake papers ... very sweet indeed ....

 

the background paper is actually grid pattern paper from Scenic Route ... and a little trivia for you, did you know that Scenic Route is closing its doors ... so sad, I am a big fan of their products, especially all those yummy double sided papers and cool die cuts .... 4th layout is HOW I MET YOUR FATHER ....

 

the fun journal stickers are from Crate Paper ...

NEW GAME ....

.... Freddie has a new game called POST THE SUNSCREEN .... it involves a Diet Coke box and a basket of sunscreen ...

 

 

 

.... ummmm, wasn't me!  And when the game is over ....

 

time to hang out with Ned ..... just goes to show that out of all the toys Freddie has, a diet coke box, basket of sunscreen and a very cute Pug are the most fun.

RANDOM STUFF ....

.... trying to think of what has been happening in my world ... point form to catch you up on hte ho hum of it all ....

• Jack and Evie have thrown themselves into swimming season ... they are both keen to train every afternoon although Evie misses one day due to dancing .... I feel like Freddie are I are almost fixtures at the pool each afternoon ... Freddie is kept entertained with his very own packet of Tiny Teddies which he thinks is very special ... the best thing about swimming is that both Jack and Evie are in the same training squad ...

• Brett is super busy harvesting .... he was away all last week but is back at Bengalla harvesting here for now ....

• Dot the pig is growing rapidly ... her and Ned are quite good buddies, Neddie loves going into her pen for a visit ....

• When Freddie is tired he grabs his blue bear and dummy out of his cot and starts crawling around the house with it ... when he spots me he very quickly tries to get away giggling the whole time ... he so knows that he shouldn't have them out of the cot ...

• He also loves to tip his drink bottle RIGHT back to take a sip ... the funniest thing ... obviously has been watching Daddy drink beer ...

• Jack had his second game of the season this morning .... I try really hard to be interested in the kids' sport but cricket gets me every time ... so very slow and dare I say   b o r i n g ... let's hope Freddie doesn't want to play!

• Weather is warming up which means taking Freddie for swims .... needless to say the thought of a swimsuit scares me .... so much so that I have jumped back on the healthy wagon .... well, at least I am making salads for lunch ...

• Enjoyed feeding all our farm animals this afternoon and not having to rush home to cook dinner and do homework ...

• I am also enjoying working on NOVEMBER DOUBLE UP layouts ... the goodies this month are a treat ....

UNWELCOME VISITOR ....

... this morning I was making my morning coffee when I glanced out the window and noticed a bird bomb diving the lawn ... upon closer inspection I noticed this slippery fellow heading for our house ....

 

the bird was so persistent and kept swooping down on the snake .... the snake ended up heading back to the paddock ... thanks so much birdie ... you can continue eating all my strawberries.

How do you know when Freddie has finished lunch ...

 

everything ends up on the floor ....

 

rockmelon was a hit today but not so keen on the banana or apple ... never can tell with this little man ...

 

Freddie was 13 months on Saturday .... still not walking .... he loves books, plops himself on his couch and turns the pages of the book .... loves climbing especially on the lounge chairs ... now has 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom ... continues to be a good little eater and eats most foods but doesn't always like to sit still in the high chair ... still a fabulous sleeper and sleeps through most nights, always has one big sleep during the day and 2 sleeps if we are home all day .... loves to babble away in his own language  ... pulls out his blue bear and dummy from his cot when he is ready to go to bed ... is standing up with no hands and bouncing on the spot ... loves raiding Mum's scrapbooking goodies on the bottom shelf .... also loves to empty the dog water bowl ... I guess I could go on forever ... so fun watching Freddie grow.
